Samsung Note 8 release date, specs, updates: Smartphone to Come With Dual-Camera Setup
Korean tech giant, Samsung, swayed consumers who were dismayed by the Samsung Galaxy Note 7’s battery issues by releasing the Galaxy S8. Samsung’s S8 launch has been quite successful as consumers raved about the smartphone’s large display.
However, a lot of Samsung fans are still waiting it out to get the next iteration of the Samsung Note Series. Even though Samsung has not revealed the technical specifications for the Note 8, there are still a lot of rumors on the smartphone’s specs and release.
As of now, many flagship smartphones from Asian manufacturers include a dual-camera setup. This is why many speculations say that Samsung will probably include the same dual-camera setup for the Note 8. Others speculate that Samsung may not go with the dual-camera setup because of unforeseen costs. But according to Daishin Securities analyst, Park Kang-ho, “although Samsung did not officially announce the adoption of dual cameras (for the Galaxy S8), it is inevitable to feature the cameras.”
Moreover, the Korean Herald also stated how smartphones with a dual-camera setup “stole the spotlight during this year’s Mobile World Congress,” which is why plenty of Samsung Note 8 fans expect the smartphone to possess the new camera setup once it is launched later this year.
Another piece of information that adds further sense to this speculation about the Samsung Note 8’s camera setup is the fact that California tech giant Apple already included two image sensors in their iPhone 7 plus. Because of so, Apple speculators expect that the new iPhone 8 will be released with better camera specs.
Although there are still no news from Samsung about the Galaxy Note 8’s official camera setup. Rumors suggest that the Galaxy Note 8 will sport a 13-megapixel telephoto shooter equipped with 3X zoom paired with a 12-megapixel wide angle lens that comes with optical image stabilization.
The Galaxy Note 8 is also predicted to feature a fingerprint sensor that’s similar to what Samsung has included with their recent smartphones. It is also expected to sport a 6.3-inch Super AMOLED screen with a nice 2k resolution.
The Galaxy Note 8 is also said to be powered by Exynos 8895 and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor that is supported by 6GB of RAM. It will also possess a 3,300 mAh battery.
As for the release of the Galaxy Note 8, there are no official statements from Samsung yet, however, reports say that Samsung’s Note 8 will be released shortly after the Galaxy Note 7R.
